Coach Responsibilities


Coaches and Managers play a vital role in the development of players and the overall success of the club. They are responsible for creating a positive, inclusive, and educational environment where players can thrive.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, structured training sessions suited to the team’s age and skill level.
  • Ensure all sessions are inclusive, enjoyable, and development-focused.
  • Promote the club’s values of fair play, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Select the starting lineup and substitutes, ensuring fair game time distribution.
  • Provide in-game coaching and ensure adherence to the Code of Conduct.
  • Submit match results for Grades 9 and above as required by NRF.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and players regarding training schedules, match fixtures, and team expectations.



    Manager Responsibilities


    • Act as the main point of contact between the club, parents, and players.
    • Ensure all players are registered and understand club policies.
    • Coordinate and communicate training schedules and match times.
    • Organise team sheets, score reporting, and NRF-required paperwork.
    • Report team issues, complaints, or match incidents to the Club Captain and Secretary within 24 hours

    Match Day Responsibilities

    • Ensure all players have the correct kit and equipment for games.
    • Arrange for a substitute coach or manager if either role is unavailable on game day.
    • Organise team sheets, score reporting, and any NRF-required paperwork.

    Referees & Fines


    Teams are responsible for arranging referees and covering their costs. Any fines imposed due to misconduct or other rule violations must be paid by the team.



      Kit Care & Equipment


      • Each team must nominate a Kit Manager responsible for maintaining the team's kit.
      • Kit washing can be rotated within the team, but the nominated person remains responsible.
      • Any lost or damaged kit must be reported immediately to the club.


      Player Eligibility & Registration


      • All players must be registered with the Club before participating in any matches.
      • Playing ineligible players or using false names is a serious breach of club policy.
      • Registration for new players must be completed at least 48 hours before kickoff.

      Tournament Procedures


      From 1st January 2025, teams must submit tournament entry requests in writing to the Committee via secretary@ranuiswansonfc.co.nz. The club will assess contributions towards entry fees on a case-by-case basis.
